Dr. Mckenzie Galvin grew up in Naples, Florida, where her love for animals began as soon as she could say the word “dog”. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Florida Gulf Coast University and then went on to receive her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Ross University on the beautiful island of St. Kitts. After completing her clinical year at Texas A&M University, she decided to stay in Texas and completed a veterinary internship in emergency medicine in San Antonio.
She has since moved to Corpus Christi to be closer to the beach and continue her career working in both an emergency setting and in general practice. She is very excited to join the Animal Hospital of Padre Island to provide quality preventive medicine and assisting clients and their loved ones in emergent situations.
Dr. Galvin’s favorite activities outside of work include doing anything with her dogs. She has 2 dogs (A doberman named Rusty and a pitbull named Oakley) who are both rescues. They enjoy hiking and traveling with her.
